Hi, I’m Addie Stipp, License Professional Counselor (LPC) — the therapist behind Hot Mess Healing. This practice was created with the belief that you don’t have to have it all together to start healing. Life can feel messy, overwhelming, and downright chaotic—but that doesn’t mean you’re broken. Here, you’ll find a compassionate, judgment-free space to unpack the hard stuff, learn new ways to cope, and rediscover your strength.
As someone with ADHD, I know healing isn’t neat or linear—it can be random, weird, and unpredictable. And that’s welcome here. I’m EMDR-trained and specialize in trauma, helping clients process painful experiences while also making space for resilience, humor, and hope. I also treat anxiety, depression, adult ADHD, and life transitions. Therapy with me doesn’t feel stiff or scripted—I bring honesty, warmth, and sometimes a little laughter, because healing can hold both the heavy and the light.
At Hot Mess Healing, inclusivity matters. I’m intentional about creating an environment that honors the uniqueness of each client—their story, values, culture, and identity. I recognize the ways that life circumstances, family histories, and even broader systems can shape our mental health. I proudly affirm and support LGBTQIA+ clients and minorities, and I strive to ensure every part of you—your story, your background, your quirks, your edges—has a place in the room. I’m committed to creating an inclusive environment where every client feels respected and valued. Whatever your background, beliefs, or life experiences, all of who you are is welcome here.
You don’t need to “get it together” before you start. Come exactly as you are—we’ll embrace the chaos, process the hard stuff, and build a version of healing that feels authentic, empowering, and real.
