embrace your own kind of normal

Hi, I’m Addie

Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

Life’s a mess. You don’t need to “have everything together” to start healing.

I help teens and adults work through trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and life transitions — with a mix of honesty, warmth, and a little humor.

I’m EMDR trained, trauma-informed, and ADHD-powered.

In my free time:

  • I am a crazy dog and cat mom

  • I enjoy cooking and baking but my guilty pleasure is a good nap between binge watching reality tv and true crime documentaries.

  • When I get bored with being a couch potato you can find me at concerts/music festivals and traveling to new places!

My Approach

Real

Healing isn’t about pretending everything’s fine. We work through the hard stuff with honesty, compassion, and sometimes laughter. A judgement-free space where you can cry, swear, vent, laugh, or sit in silence — whatever you need that day.

Relatable

Not lectures or textbook therapy talk — just real conversations that make sense in your world. Therapy that feels human, sometimes messy, sometimes funny, always genuine. Every session looks different because you are different each week. Some days are deep dives while other days we just hold space.

Restorative

EMDR and trauma-informed care that helps your body and brain find safety again. As a neurodivergent myself, I also offer understanding of those who tend to feel the most misunderstood.

Inclusive

LGBTQIA+ affirming, culturally aware, and open to every version of you — no exceptions. Made for every kind of “normal.” As a white, cis, hetero woman, I recognize the privilege I hold and actively work to stay aware, humble, and understanding of the ways others experience a lack of privilege in our society. I create a space where everyone feels seen, respected, and valued.

Cool, but what services do you offer?

Individual Talk Therapy

I’m a good fit for people who:

  • Appreciate a balance of compassion and accountability, and value authenticity and humor in therapy

  • Want skills to manage symptoms of anxiety/panic, overwhelm, ADHD, and trauma

  • Want to work on boundaries that support relationships that align with their values and needs

  • Identify as neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+, or simply “a little different”

EMDR

What is EMDR?

  • A trauma-focused therapy that uses bilateral stimulation to help your brain reprocess painful experiences so they no longer feel as intense or triggering

  • Works without having to rehash every detail of trauma or tell your story over and over

  • The goal isn’t to erase memories, but to reduce the emotional charge, helping you feel calmer and more in control of the present.

Okay, Addie…Convince me

I’ve been going to Addie for over 2 years now and she has been more helpful than any therapist I’ve ever been to. She has been so kind and gentle with me but is not afraid to push me on something when I need it. I am so thankful that I found her when I did. I don’t know where I would be without her support.

"

Addie Stipp made me feel very comfortable and I was able to easily open up to her about some things that were necessary, but difficult for me to do otherwise. She is very sweet and considerate, and I highly recommend her for anyone!

"

Addie is a great listener, offers clever and realistic suggestions, and has great insight. I’m really enjoying working with her!

"

I was excited but nervous about finding a therapist. My fear was having to go through many therapists before I could find one that I felt comfortable being vulnerable with. Within the first video session with Addie we immediately clicked. I have no fear or qualms about being open with her and she was so helpful.
