-
Crisis Protocol During Sessions
All therapists are mandated reporters and will act in compliance with legal and ethical standards when a client’s safety is at risk. This includes abuse/neglect of a minor, elderly person, or someone with a disability, as well as a plan and intent of fatally harming self or others. Addie will take necessary steps to ensure safety, including contacting emergency services if needed.
-
Safety Planning
If you are concerned about managing a crisis outside of session times, discuss creating a personal safety plan with Addie during your next appointment. A safety plan may include:
Coping strategies and grounding techniques.
Emergency contacts, including trusted friends or family members.
Crisis resource numbers and local support services.
